The nicotine liquid comes in various strengths just like tobacco cigarettes and also in the menthol flavor. The e-liquid, as it is referred to by many, is located inside a plastic filter that fits onto the battery and atomizer portion of the smoking device. The atomizer attaches the battery potion and the filter portion together. The smoker inhales just like always and the liquid is heated giving the smoker the same sensation as tobacco when it is burned only without the tar and additional chemicals.

Many smokers find the sensation and flavor to be so similar to traditional cigarettes that they can hardly tell the difference. This smoking device can be used and then laid down on a tabletop or counter without the need for an ashtray because there is no fire and no ashes. It is almost as close to odorless as you can get and the water vapor that it produces evaporates almost instantaneously. This means there is no secondhand smoke for a smoker to worry about either.
