Everyone knows that there are hundreds, if not thousands of New York City tourist attractions that are famous around the world, but the trouble is that when travelers come to the city for only a few days, they must stick to a strict sightseeing schedule. However, there are so many fantastic things to see and do that a visitor might have quite a lot of trouble trying to find which things they should not ever pass up. Here are just a few of the New York City tourist attractions that no visitor should leave without seeing.
First, the Museum of Modern Art is one that was founded in 1929 as the first museum dedicated completely to contemporary art. There are hoards of paintings, sculptures, films, architecture, and more to be seen here, and the diverse art collection really does have something for everyone.
Central Park is one place that everyone knows of, as it has been the most famous park in the state (maybe even the country) for more than 150 years. The Central Park Zoo is one aspect of the park that is a great choice for animal lovers and for visitors who have children. There are many interactive activities that are offered at the zoo, including live performances, climbing activities, petting zoos, and more.
American history would not be as it is without Staten Island. The Staten Island Ferry is free and rides to the island from lower Manhattan and gives riders an incredible view of New York Harbor and of course the Statue of Liberty.
Every visitor needs to take a trip to Grand Central Terminal, which is often referred to as Grand Central Station. First opened in 1913, it underwent a massive restoration to restore it to its original splendor. Today there are many shops, restaurants, and more available to visitors, and different types of tours are available.
No one should forget to include in the list of famous New York City tourist attractions the Empire State Building. Visitors can avoid waiting in line for tickets by buying them online before they go. In 2006 the building celebrated its 75th Anniversary. In 1931, President Hoover opened the historic Empire State Building by pushing a button from Washington, D.C. that illuminated the top of the building with the famous white lights.
Although this is a list that includes only a few of the most famous New York City tourist attractions, there are hundreds more that can be investigated by gathering information online.

Africa is a beautiful country with so many landscapes and tourist attractions that it’s hard to decide what to see, particularly if you’re on a tight time schedule. Below are a selection of 5 must see sites.
The Victoria Falls, also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya (the Smoke that Thunders) is a spectacular waterfall situated in southern Africa on the Zambezi River between Zimbabwe and Zambia. The fact that these falls are one of the Seven Natural Wonders of World should be enough to persuade you, and although they are neither the widest nor the tallest set of falls it is agreed that they are actually the largest as Victoria Falls provides the biggest single sheet of falling water in the world.
Kruger National Park is the largest game reserve in South Africa covering 18,989 square km and is one of Africa’s most popular places to track down the ‘Big Five’ - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros. As well as providing a range of public safari tours there are also private concessions that can be booked and are less crowded catering exclusive safari camps and lodgings providing for luxury travellers.
Johannesburg’s Apartheid Museums provide the most powerful and comprehensive collections of South Africa’s tragic past and is certainly a must see stop for anyone interested in the regions monumental part in history. Visitors say that the Apartheid Museum is a vivid and moving experience, set out by means of enlarged photos, artefacts, newspaper clippings, and film footage, to graphically portray the brutal apartheid story.
Mount Kilimanjaro located in Tanzania is Africa’s tallest mountain reaching 19,340ft and consisting of three volcanic cones; Shira, Kibo and Mawenzi. Fortunately for travellers, the mountain’s highest point which is called the Uhuru peak is easily accessible to anyone of a moderate fitness level. It is well worth the effort as the experience of being on top of Africa is absolutely exhilarating and of course the surrounding scenery at the peak is breathtaking, with the huge glaciers forming a white heaven.
The Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt also known as Khufu’s Pyramid. Comprising another one of the World’s Seven Natural Wonders is situated in Necropolis Giza and is joined by the other two Great Pyramids as well as the Great Sphinx so it’s definitely an area well worth a visit. For over 3,800 years the Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the world and is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that survives substantially intact.
There is no shortage of amazing spectacles to witness in Africa and these are just some ideas to get you started on a spectacular trip.

Won’t you take me to Funkytown? If you like predictability, monotony, and conventionality on your vacation, then Venice, California, is NOT the spot for you! But if you enjoy a lively time in an eccentric locale, where no two days are alike, then it’s time to check this place out!
Even walking down the boardwalk is an adventure here. As you stroll along, the sights you encounter will include street performers, musicians, sidewalk artists and tarot card readers. Where else can you hear your future read while being so wildly entertained? The best part is, this vacation is easy to arrange with one of the Venice Beach vacation rentals you can find online. Whether you wish to check out the many Venice hotels or prefer seeking a different type of Venice lodging, you will find just the right accommodations on the Internet.
Located near Santa Monica and Los Angeles in southern California, Venice revels in its fabulous location, incredible weather, and eclectic collection of characters. The warm sunny weather means you can count on lots of time outside where the action is. And the Venice Beach vacation rentals can set you right in the midst of all this action. Due to the town’s small size, you can walk or ride a bike to nearly everything. Stay in one of the Venice hotels downtown, and head out for a day perusing the unique wares at Abbot Kinney’s Boutiques. You can also find some special items in the many quirky antique shops. Perhaps you would like to stroll along the canals of Venice. Yep–they’ve built some here, in their own inimitable imitation of the Italian city of the same name.
If you prefer a bit more energetic action in your day, you’re still in luck. Many of the Venice Beach vacation rentals are located on or near the beach. There on the soft white sand you can enjoy volleyball, basketball or biking. You definitely will want to check out the famed “Muscle Beach” area! Obviously, the waters of the Pacific can also keep you busy with surfing, kayaking, snorkeling or deep-sea fishing. The possibilities are endless. After such full days, it will be refreshing to retire to the comfort of your Venice lodging.
Watching the sun set over the Pacific is a breathtaking sight. But in Venice, it doesn’t signal the end of the day so much as the beginning of the evening. The area hops with a vibrant nightlife in the many local restaurants and bars. You will be glad to find your lodging near at hand when you’re finally ready to lay your head down for some much-needed rest.
Another advantage to staying in one of the vacation rentals is the town’s location. You can arrive at one of many Venice hotels just minutes after leaving LAX, although it certainly feels like you’re in a different world. Plus, you can make an easy drive southeast for a day trip to Disneyland and Sea World. However, there is so much to do and see right here, you might want to save that for another trip.
So, are you ready to get down, get funky? No matter who might join you on your trip, whether you travel as a couple, with a group of friends, or as a family with kids, there is something to keep everyone busy day after day when you stay in Venice Beach rental.
For more resources regarding Venice Beach vacation rentals, please visit this page. You will find condos, villas and other types of accommodations that will fulfill your fabulous California vacation.

Whether you’re from Florida, California or anywhere in between, an Anna Maria vacation is a great getaway for the entire family. The island is packed full of inexpensive, family-friendly activities so you can have a great vacation without breaking the bank, no matter where you’re from.
Ride the Free Trolley
No Anna Maria vacation would be complete without an island tour on the island’s free trolley. The trolley runs daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and stops every four to five blocks at designated beaches. Check out each beach before deciding on the perfect one to spend a day in the sun and surf. The trolley is a quick and easy way to see everything an Anna Maria vacation has to offer - all at no cost to visitors.
Beach Day
After you’ve gone on your trolley tour and found the perfect beach, spend a day relaxing by the ocean. Build sandcastles, play in the warm ocean surf or just relax with a good book. Your beach day can include anything you want - the important thing is that you enjoy yourself!
Charter A Boat
Dolphins and manatees abound in the oceans surrounding the tropical island, so no Anna Maria vacation is complete without a chartered boat tour to search for these gentle sea creatures. This once in a lifetime experience is one that will stay with you years after your Anna Maria vacation comes to a close.
Visit the Robinson Preserve
An Anna Maria vacation day at the Robinson Preserve is one filled with nature. The preserve, which opened in July 2008, has more than 400 acres of marshlands, kayaking and canoeing streams, nature trails and bridges. The trails are perfect for both hiking and horseback riding. There’s also a 500-foot boardwalk ideal for watching the many birds that call the preserve their home. Visitors to the preserve should be on the lookout for endangered species such as the gopher tortoise and the indigo snake. Have a fun family contest to see who can spot these elusive creatures - perhaps the winner can decide where the family should have dinner that night!
Family Fishing Day
Take advantage of Florida’s beautiful coastline by enjoying a family fishing day. Families can either choose to rent or charter a boat or fish off one of the island’s four fishing piers. Most fishing tour companies provide everything necessary for your day, including fishing licenses, rods, reels and bait.
You’ll be able to fish for grouper, shark, red snapper, trout and more on your family fishing day. Some companies even clean the fish once you’re finished, so all you’ll have to do is cook it up and enjoy a dinner of the freshest fish around.
An island vacation is a great way to relax, unwind and reconnect with the family. Whether you’re there for two weeks or just a few days, you’ll be sure to find plenty of family-friendly activities to make your trip a memorable one.

If you are planning a holiday in a Villa in Spain, there are some things that you should take into account, since this may not be the right holiday for you. A vacation or break should be a relaxing time, which is why it is important to do some planning before deciding whether or not to go for a Villa in Spain.
Of course, a European holiday in a Spanish villa sounds like a dream come true, but we have to be very careful if we do not want this dream to become a nightmare. First of all, you should decide what type of holiday you wish to have, that is, define your expectations.
A lot of people think that a Villa in Spain is a synonym with luxury, and this is not always the case. Remember that Europe is known to be the old continent, and Spain is not an exception. You will find that villas in Spain are not always updated and sometimes they are a bit old-fashioned. In some cases they are far from luxurious.
Europe in general, including Spain, is thought out for backpackers. Hostels, cheap villas and camping sites abound in this country. Thus if you were looking to spend a Hollywood like holiday, villas in Spain may not live up to your expectations. Despite all this, prices may become an issue.
Although Spain offers budget holidays, nowadays with the international financial crisis, the exchange rate is not beneficial for those who are traveling with dollars. For this reason, many villas in Spain end up being as expensive as a luxurious hotel in America.
Another reason why those who are on a budget should stay away from villas in Spain is their location. People who are planning this type of holiday will want to save as much money as possible, by choosing the cheapest villas in Spain. However these villas tend to be far from tourist attractions, which results in you having to rent a vehicle or spending lots of money in taxi fares.
For the same reason, you may have to travel downtown every time you want to get a meal. So it is important to make sure that the villa is in a convenient location, or otherwise that it counts with a restaurant or a market where you can purchase supplies, within its premises.
If you do decide that a villa in Spain is the right choice for you, then do a lot of research before deciding which villa you are going to visit. Ask for pictures of the facility, and find out about the accommodation. Some villas offer linen and towels, while others ask you to bring these items with you.
Similarly, some villas in Spain do not count with TV sets, DVDs, or other forms of entertainment. My advice here would be for you to make sure what type of services the villa you choose offers, before making any decisions. However, if it were my choice to make, for the same amount of money or maybe a bit more, I would choose to go for a fancy, comfortable and well located hotel.

Visiting the old continent may sound like a dream come true. For years, films have shown us a glamorous and sophisticated Europe, where you can find some of the most gorgeous landscapes and exquisite cuisine. However, these facts are not entirely true. There are a lot of downers when it comes to a holiday in Europe.
Let us begin with their cuisine. Most people believe that food in Europe is gourmet and exclusive, nonetheless, London has been voted by many tourists as the city in Europe with the worst cuisine. Europe’s cuisine is way over-rated, and for that very same reason it is charged more than it is worth.
And while on the subject of prices, it is important to highlight that visiting Europe can be extremely expensive, a fact that is worsened by the current financial crisis. The exchange rate does not benefit those tourists traveling with dollars, especially in London, which is one of the most expensive cities in Europe.
Streets in Europe are dirty, and filled with dog poo. The cities are highly polluted, and since most people in Europe smoke, you will find it very difficult to breathe in clean air. Most buildings are out-dated, and poor looking. In fact, Warsaw, the capital city of Poland, has been voted as the city with the ugliest architecture.
Europe’s crime rate is increasing, and most cities have their own pickpocket armies. So it is very difficult to go for a walk at ease. You have to be very careful, which makes your time in Europe less enjoyable, since you cannot relax. There are also lots of con artists waiting for naive tourists to fall in their traps.
In places like Italy, the laws can be quite different to what you are used to, thus you may end up paying large sums in fines, for doing something that is legal in other places of the world. For example, walking on the streets with an alcoholic beverage is considered to be illegal. Furthermore, sandcastles are illegal in some places of Italy.
Europe is known as one of the most unfriendly places in the world. In some countries, like France, people are not willing to help you, unless you speak their language. People in Europe tend to be cold and distant, and similarly, employees such as hotel receptionists are often rude.
Most European payphones do not have coin slots. They only have calling cards slots. So in the event of an emergency, if you do not have one of these cards, you can be in serious trouble. Plus, payphones are used as public toilets, they are dirty and smelly, and very difficult to find, since there are not many.
So, my advice here is not to believe everything you see on movies or television. You may end up spending lots of money in a glamorous holiday, which may turn out to be a dirty, expensive and unwelcoming experience. If you have high expectations about your European holiday, you will most probably end up being disappointed.

It’s an exciting time when you’re planning on moving to a new country, but it can also be a stressful process as there is a lot that needs to be taken care of, both logistically and legally. To emigrate to New Zealand, there is a complex procedure to pass through, involving a points system in which points are earned based on qualifications, health checks and positive character and legal references.
To emigrate to New Zealand as a ‘Skilled Migrant’ - the most common category - the applicant must be aged between 20 and 55, with a good standard of English and have a clean bill of health. Good character references are also necessary and a police check will also be required. The better these aspects are, the more points will be earned and thus the greater chance of your application being accepted.
In order to be eligible to emigrate to New Zealand, at least 100 points must be earned throughout the process. These are amassed on aspects such as qualifications, employment history, age and a job offer in place. The more points you have, the better your chances of being accepted into the country.
Once the points are tallied, by the immigration board, the Expression of Interest forms are placed in a pool and there is a draw every two weeks. EOI’s with over 140 points are automatically selected and lower scoring ones are drawn after that. If one of yours is chosen, you are then sent an Invitation to Apply form, which is where evidence of the claims made in the EOI must be made. This will take the form of proof of qualifications, police and medical certificates and documentation of work experience and English language skill.
Once this has been received, the immigration board will examine the validity of this evidence and will then decide whether or not to allow you to move into the country. Sometimes they will allow you to move straight away, sometimes they will want to interview you first and sometimes they will offer a Work to Residence Visa for six months while they assess how well you are settling into the country before granting full residency.
Although the process can be complicated and confusing, there are a range of resources available to help you navigate it; be it online guides or companies which specialise in helping people emigrate to New Zealand. One thing most people agree on, however, is that the effort of moving into the country is worth it once they’re in their new home.

London has so much to offer to each individual. So lets go through some key points that will help you to plan the perfect trip to London.
Tourist Attractions. With limited time and so much to see its well worth planning exactly which attractions you want to visit. Buckingham Palace, Madame Tousards Wembley Stadium and famous districts such as Kilburn and Cricklewood are just some of them.
The attractions that you want to visit may be miles apart, and even if close to each other then in London depending on mode of transport can be hours apart. Why not get everyone to make a list of which attractions you would love to visit, then collaborate a make a final list of must see places to visit during your stay.
Budget. London is an expensive city to live in, however with careful planning it need not be an expensive vacation. Travel accomodation meals and entry into attractions may incur expense but of varying levels. Search the internet for example hotel in north london to find hotel websites which are specific to your desired area. Hotels in varying districts can command different prices.
When eating out in London you will find lots of buffet style eateries. Eat as much as you like for a fairly small amount. The economies of scale being the justification rather than quality of food.
Many restaurants will do an early bird menu. This will be a lower priced menu at certain times of the day. Often its before 6 or 7pm so if you plan your day you can enjoy a slap up meal at a snip of the usual price.
If you shop around you will find some interesting districts in North London nestled inbetween affluence and expensive areas, but which excellent access into central London. For example Cricklewood and Kilburn.
Transport. The choice of transportation in London is wide. Taxis are expensive but readily available for the spontaneous travellor. However the journey may take time due to the heavy traffic. This is why many travellers - business and tourists use the tube. The tube will get you all over the UK capital quickly and for a relatively low cost.
Furthermore you can buy day saver tickets which enable unlimited travel. Ensure that the hotel you choose to stay in is close to the tube line that you may wish to use. Tube lines and maps of the London Underground are very easy to find on the internet. Of course there are the other usual options such as buses, rail, and hiring a car.
Accomodation. There is so much choice in London. The following points are to be considered to make your stay as enjoyable and worthwhile as possible. Does the hotel have a car park? Is the hotel close to the tube lines that you wish to use? DO they serve food? Is the hotel in a pleasant and interesting district? Some hoteliers will collect you from the airport.
Look at the hotels website as this may have 360degree tours whereby you can tour around the rooms and restaurants and even the local neighbourhood. If you are planning to stay in touch with family and friends or maybe do a little work whilst away then check that the hotel has internet connectivity - wireless or wifi. Check beforehand wether there is a charge for using wi-fi.
For the disabled traveller, most websites will indicate wether they have disabled access as most do.
Airlines have different disbaled policies, but surprisingly even budget airlines can have wonderful policies for helping with wheelchairs, and seating arrangements. Speaking from experience however, some of the more expensive airlines have poor policies for helping the disabled with their air journey.
There is so much information to help you plan you visit, and through some planning you will get the most from you stay.
