How to Publish an Ezine for Your Business

Wednesday 5 August 2009 @ 3:43 am

For those who aren’t familiar with ezines, an ezine is an online newsletter. It may be published in either HTML or text, depending on how you want to send it to your subscribers.

The advantage of creating and publishing an ezine for your business is that it allows you to build a relationship with your site visitors as well as capture their email addresses to build a list. You may also use your ezine to help you promote your own products or services or affiliate programs.

To be effective, you want to include a wide variety of content. First, include articles, news, and product reviews related to your industry. Show your readers how you save them time by presenting them with information they might not otherwise find online. Educate your readers and give them information that they will find valuable.

Include relevant ads for products that complement what you offer. Show your readers a wide variety of solutions to their problems.

To get started with your ezine, the first thing you need to do is find an autoresponder system to send out your ezine. An autoresponder is a system that will allow you to automate the process of sending out messages to your list as well as automating the process of subscribing and unsubscribing.

Autoresponders also make you look more professional. Not only are you saving time here, you’re saving money. Your time as a small business owner is way too valuable to waste on manually adding and deleting subscribers from your list. Don’t waste your time here especially when there are solutions that will handle this for you, and they’re very reasonably priced.

Once you have selected your autoresponder system, write several messages to send to your future subscribers. Include articles, product reviews, and promotional messages. Mix these up and include about a 50/50 mix here. Space these messages out over several weeks. Although some will tell you to email your subscribers every day, many will unsubscribe because they get tired of being bombarded with messages. Put yourself in your subscribers’ shoes. How often would you want to hear from you? Once or twice a week is plenty.

Add the subscription code to all of the pages of your website. If you don’t have a website, then you may want to create a simple subscription page for your site. There is plenty of free software available to do this so you don’t need to know HTML.

Send out your ezine at least once a month, although weekly will give you a better response. Advertise your ezine in directories to help you get readers. Establish a relationship with your readers for long term business success.

Why You Need to Publish an Ezine for Your Business

Tuesday 4 August 2009 @ 3:35 am

An ezine is an online newsletter. Ezines have been around in one form or another for years on the internet.

This is an easy and popular way to communicate with your readers because it allows you to build credibility and establish a relationship with readers.

Below are five reasons you want to create an ezine for your business:

1. Build a relationship with your site visitors.

Ezines are a great way to establish credibility with your readers because it gives them a chance to get to know you. The better they know you the more they are likely to trust you. You want your readers to trust you so that they buy from you.

2. Capture email addresses to build a list.

By capturing email addresses, you can recycle your traffic. Most who visit your site won’t buy from you on the first visit. It’s much easier to get others to subscribe to your list than it is to sell them a product. By contacting your readers regularly, you will eventually make the sale.

3. Increase your business revenues by offering advertising.

Advertising products or services related to your offerings gives you additional content for your ezine. It also gives you additional revenue by charging for including ads in your publication.

There are two types of advertising you may offer: ads in your ezine and solo ads. Solo ads are individual ads sent out by themselves. You may charge more for these than for an ad in your actual publication.

When offering advertising be careful though. You don’t want to offer advertising that is either unrelated to your topic or is a direct competitor to what you sell. Make sure these ads complement your own offerings and offer valuable resources to your readers.

Also, don’t send out too many solo ads or include too many ads in your ezine. You will alienate your readers by doing this.

4. Sell more of your products and services by offering more information.

You may offer your content in different formats: audio, video, and text. Content you may offer includes articles, product reviews, and product comparisons.

Mix up your content. You want to offer readers as much information as possible but don’t be afraid to presell readers on your products or services.

5. Ezines allow you to offer content readers can’t get anywhere else.

Include some exclusive content in your ezine readers won’t find anywhere else. Not only does this give them an incentive to subscribe, but it also gives them an incentive to stay subscribed.

If you’re looking for an easy way to build a list and build a relationship with potential customers, an ezine is an easy way to do it.

PLR - Use It For Your Ezine Content

Thursday 9 July 2009 @ 2:35 pm

Everyone tells you that the money is in the list but the real money is in the relationship you build with your list. To quote Jeffrey Gitomer “All things being equal, people want to do business with their friends. All things being NOT so equal, people STILL want to do business with their friends.”

So providing quality information for your subscribers is a good way to create that relationship and ultimately make you more sales. Getting good content can be a bit of a drag at times. I am sure you have sat down at the computer, pulled up a blank page and just stared because of the dreaded “writers block”.
Here is where PLR (private label rights) content can help you get started.

Now once again it is important to make sure that you know the rights for any product you are going to use. If you have an article package on your topic you can use that for content.

Take the time to do a bit of re-writing to give the content your voice and you have easily overcome your writers block. Your voice is very important in your ezine.

For example I tend to be a bit plain spoken, get to the point type of writer. I write in simple language and tend not to use fancy words. My instructional writing tends to be very concise Now this is what my subscribers expect. They like that style or they would have unsubscribed and read someone else that provides information in a manner they like.

If I were to use an article with lots of big words or droning on and on my readers would disconnect quickly. They are not expecting that type of content from me.
So PLR articles can be a perfect way with a bit of effort to generate content for your ezine. It is far from being the only way to do that. Have a PLR e-book on your topic?

Split the pieces apart to create your content. (Subject to the rights of course.)

Have PLR audios? Use that as your research for your ezine content. This can be a very easy way to put together an article for your ezine. Grab the good old legal pad and a pen (or if you are more techie open up your mind map). Do a quick outline and you now have the ideas to create your content.

I don’t know about you but for me once I have a topic and an outline writing is a piece of cake. Getting the ideas and the topic I want to cover is where I sit staring at that blank piece of paper, feeling the frustrations building up and getting ready to break something.

The point is that any piece of PLR content whether it is an article, an e-book, an audio or a video can easily be used to create content for your ezine.

For more information on using PLR for many different purposes, check out Mike Paetzold’s blog at The PLR Secrets.

An eZine Newsletter As A Home Based Business Idea

Wednesday 8 July 2009 @ 2:51 pm

Starting your own eZine can be a lot easier than you think for a home based business idea. This is because in the most basic necessity, all you really need to get started publishing your own paperless newsletter are a wealth of content, auto responder with broadcast feature, and a website (which is optional). You can control the content for your eZine to attract the type of reader you want to build your list. As they say, the money is in the list.

If you are able to build a solid list of thousands of subscribers, you will have a pot of gold. You can then use this list to promote other opportunities you might be working on. For instance, you might have a one time purchase affiliate opportunity that you think is valuable to them, such as a web tool or marketing tool they can use over and over. If your affiliate opportunity commission is $15, you have a list of 5,000 subscribers and only 2% purchase, you will earn approximately $1,500 total. Not bad for sending out an email to your list.

Content

You can compile weeks of content ahead in advance and slowly dispense them to your subscribers. For example, you can compile 100 short tips in one day and dispense 10 tips once a week. In other words, you can compile 10 weeks worth of content in just one day!Article network sites have many articles that you can use for your eZine newsletter. You can have tons of content at your disposal if you belong to an article publishing site.

Auto responder

Your auto responder is your asset. To store your data base of subscribers, and send out your eZine, you will need an autoresponder. Some recommended auto responders include GetResponse.com and aWeber.com.Do a search for other autoresonders and you might find some that are free.Make sure any other autoresponder can handle to traffic and do the things you’ll need it to do as you grow.

Website

You may be surprised that this is actually an optional component for this home based business idea. Many publishers of eZines publish without a website! You can however have a website, which could deliver you more subscribers and index your site higher in top Search Engines. If you want to increase your sign-ups, make sure you have an attractive squeeze page or capture page. You can use this to advertise your eZine and capture the information such as name, email address and even phone number.

These are the things you need to get started on publishing your own eZine at its bare minimum. Some eZine publishers only survive with content and an autoresponder, and never use a website. And you can, too! This is your home based business idea, so you control everything. But at least keep these several components as the base that holds it all together.

A Simple Tool to Inspire Customers & Prospects to Buy From You

Thursday 2 July 2009 @ 8:57 pm

Entrepreneurs and small business owners are often stumped when it comes marketing their business online. They want to build a relationship with prospects in the hopes that they eventually become regular customers. They also need an inexpensive, reliable and fast tool that requires little if any technical expertise. One of the best ways to solve this problem is to build relationships via a weekly, biweekly or monthly e-newsletter, also known as an ezine.

Most people don’t realize the power of ezines. When prepared properly, ezines are viewed as a news source and become a powerful marketing tool to change a reader’s beliefs and behaviors. Think about it this way:

For a business, an effective ezine can inform and motivate customers to buy a new product or service and maintain customer loyalty.

For nonprofits, ezines can generate new memberships, encourage meeting participation, maintain loyalty among current members, and raise money from a supportive donor base.

For an educational institution, the ezine can increase community awareness and improve communication between alumni and their alma mater or between parents and teachers.

You are probably already receiving ezines in your inbox, some you read, and others you delete in a flash. The key to sending out a successful and well-read ezine is to keep it simple, interesting, and informative. Your subscribers join your list for a good reason: they want information that is useful and helpful. When you provide the content they want and send on a regular basis, your subscribers will connect with you and get to know, like, and trust you.

You can achieve outstanding results with just a small investment of time, effort and money.

54% of small businesses surveyed rated email as the top online promotion to drive site visitors and customers to their web sites and storefronts. More than half of the businesses surveyed believe ezines are one of the most powerful marketing tools because they are inexpensive, effective, immediate, targeted, and simply put, easy to do. In addition, if you write an interesting, informational newsletter, people naturally pass it on to friends and colleagues. Let them help you create more leads!

Be sure to follow some simple rules to get recipients to actually open your newsletter without sending it to their trash or spam folder. Use the same email address to send your ezine so that your customers become familiar with your communications and treat you as a trusted sender. Ensure your name and email address appear in the ‘from’ portion of the email, that it fits on one line and appears in its entirety.

Now create a subject line that sparks the reader’s curiosity. Your subject line is the second most compelling reason your email gets opened. It’s part of the first impression readers receive and can be the deciding factor whether they open it or not. Use only “power” words and keep it under 30-40 characters including spaces. Avoid using all caps and punctuations. Also, when proofreading your newsletter, don’t leave out the subject line.

Determine the ezine format will work best for you, text or HTML. Text ezines are the most commonly published due to simplicity. Although text ezines are a snap to create, they’re also a snap for your recipients to delete. An HTML format, on the other hand, requires the sender to get more sophisticated, and it’s perceived as more sophisticated in the eyes of the recipient.

Whichever format you use, be sure to track readership. Distribute with an automated program or site that allows you to view the number of people who opened your ezine and how many emails bounced back.

Bottom line: An ezine is a powerful tool to stay in touch with your clients and prospects on a regular basis. Since most people need to be contacted at least seven times before they buy from you, an ezine allows you to reach that goal. There are plenty of great, affordable tools online to create professional looking ezines, so get started today. Before you know it, you’ll be building profitable relationships.

Eight Terrific Tactics That Will Help Your Build A List Quickly

Tuesday 2 June 2009 @ 3:45 pm

You have heard about it and you have read about it a million times now, money is in the list. A mailing list is an internet marketers number one weapon. It is his pool of potential customers, his source of instant traffic and it is his leverage for inclusion to
lucrative joint ventures. An internet marketer without a mailing list is like a pilot without a plane.

Struggling to build your own mailing list? Here are eight surefire ways by which you can win a lot of
subscribers really really fast. Offer a free special report or software program. This is by far the best way to entice your visitors to sign up with your mailing list. Who can refuse something valuable that is being offered for free. The only condition is their email addresses should be given in exchange for the freebie you are offering which is a small price to pay if you are offering a quality product. Offer an eCourse that will be delivered to their inbox once they subscribe to your mailing list.

Some people are wary of freebies as they have been exposed to such marketing ploys one too many times and they have become immune to the glitter of free products. Offering them an eCourse to be delivered in installments will make them understand that they should really give you their email addresses. After all, how can the lessons be delivered if you do not have access to the emails.

Do some viral marketing by freely distributing an eBook of outstanding value. Its pages should be populated by links to your squeeze page. This way you will be able to reach a lot of people really fast, as your eBook will spread exponentially.

Create a membership area that will only be accessible to your visitors if they subscribe to your mailing list. The promise of exclusivity is one of the most
efficient selling points in marketing. Everyone wants to be part of an elite group that validates his self
worth. By offering them a membership in exchange for their email addresses, they would believe that giving you their personal details will be a small price to pay for the opportunity you will be providing.

Distribute a free demo of a highly valuable software program and before they can get the full version, they have to subscribe to your mailing list first. This may be more expensive than the other strategies, especially if you have to outsource the creation of the software program, but it is a technique that truly works. Offer them discounts to your future products if they will subscribe to your list. Who does not want discounts?
Here is a fact you may find interesting, when a sale is announced, people get excited about the discounts they will get even if they have yet to know what they will be buying. Using this psychological truth you can tap into the collective desire of savings and use the same to your advantage.

Here is another good technique that is tested over and over again by marketers. Offer an electronic newsletter or an eZine as it is fondly called. The purpose of an email marketing campaigns to warm up your subscribers until they are primed and ready to buy whatever it is you will be offering. What better way to warm them up than by providing quality information in between your offers, in the form of an eZine?

Lastly, host a contest with their subscription serving as the raffle ticket. Again, you will be giving them
justifiable reason for leaving their email addresses.

Put Your Marketing Money Where The Value Is: Return Conversions

Monday 11 May 2009 @ 6:42 am

If you are a savvy online retailer, you know what a conversion rate is, right? Well, just in case, let’s all be clear that the conversion rate is the number of web users who actually purchase a product divided by the number of viewers who click on the site.

Most marketers spend a good deal of their time on three primary strategies.

1. Getting as much traffic onto the site as possible so that your 4% conversion rate will yield much more business. For example, if you get 1000 hits per month at a 4% conversion rate, you will experience 40 purchases. If you increase traffic to 2000 hits per month at the same conversion rate, there will be 80 purchases.

2. Increasing the conversion rate so that more of the viewers who reach your site actually make a purchase. In the above example, if your conversion rate on 1000 hits moves from 4% to 6%, you will experience 60 purchases instead of 40 purchases with no additional outlay of advertising or SEO money.

3. Increase the value of the conversion rate by increasing the average buy per purchase. For example, if you experience 40 purchases per month at an average purchase value of 100 dollar, you take in 4,000 dollar monthly. If you can entice 50% of the purchasers to buy more with a 10% discount on the second item purchased, you can increase your revenue to 5,800 dollars (4,000 dollar on first purchase, 90% of 2,000 dollar on the second purchase).

You can maximize your impact by spending more time focusing on the return conversion rate. A return conversion is a prospect who visits your site, leaves without converting, and ultimately returns to your site to convert. Return conversions include new prospects that leave and return as well as existing customers who return to purchase again.

In general, the conversion rate for most online retailers is 2% … and that’s a hard won conversion rate. When you specifically target both people who have visited your site but not purchased and people who have visited your site and purchased, the conversion rate can increase by up to four times the standard conversion rate.

Developing a long term campaign that targets apparent tire kickers and initial customers, including special offers and targeted advertising, is an optimal strategy today, especially since buyers are increasingly researching product and retailer reputation before committing to a purchase.

Information You Get From A Stock Trading Newsletter

Wednesday 22 April 2009 @ 9:26 am

Let people hear the good news through a stock trading newsletter. Because business is all about people, let the good news rein.

Shout to the world. The news is always a big thing for people no matter what it is what news is always worth hearing.

Most people, especially the ordinary people whose lives revolve around what day it is and how to live by the day does not really like talking much about the economy. For crying out loud! You would likely to hear them say that. This subject is pretty much like a taboo but then the changing world dictates that there is no such thing as that right now, there should still be room for them to hunger for the news about the goings on of the economy and the stock market.

Well now that more people are getting active in the stock market, why would that be not possible? It is a good thing that the Internet had become a convenient tool for people to actively participate in what seems before as an alien world.

If you are actively participating in the stock market, in the on line trading most especially, you should be able to get enough information of the days happening. It is pretty much like any other thing in the world. News is an essential thing that you must consider in going through the day. Could you picture out a day when you are getting ready for work without you knowing that there will be a snow storm thus work is canceled?

Getting through the buying and selling of your stocks pretty much depends on that too. If you would not have the background information, the rough movements or the slow transition that happened the day before you will be likely to get lost which would mean that you might get things wrong and you might lose more than you earn. Well, that is what the stock trading newsletter is here for.

Businesses are the greatest economic risks. How many times have you been thinking about the decision of whether you will get a folio of stocks or not? Most of the time people see businesses as a gamble where you can either win or lose. The outcome of the days venture would be roughly dependent on how you will get things done, how you will execute your strategy, which techniques to use and the weighing of what happened yesterday that might possibly affect the movements of today?

Remember that one of the techniques in intraday trading is trading rumors and news events? Basically that is where you can use this. You need to know what happened, what the peoples reaction to it so that you can position your stocks in the best angle.

Having the knowledge of what happened, the trends the other events that might affect a stocks price is very vital in trading. You need to be updated all the time and the best way to get the right information is by getting stock trading newsletter.

Matthew Stanton writes an article about Stock Trading Newsletter and how you can get information of what is happening in the stock market especially amidst the economic crisis we have these days. Simply visit this site for information at http://www.tradestocksamerica.com/index.php

How To Build Trust And To Make Money Online With E-Books

Thursday 16 April 2009 @ 12:02 am

One key thing to be able to make money is to build a brand, i.e. to get the trust from other online marketers. The brand building requires that you have your own presentations, like e-books, with which you can tell your ideas to others.

1. E-Book Selling Gives You 100 % Commission.

Usually an affiliate gets some 20 or 40 percentages, but because e-book is written by you and marketed by you, you will get all the profits. What a nice way to make money online and to build your brand. The e-book price is also a sign that the e-book is more valuable to the reader than the free one.

2. Do Not Lift Your Bar Too High.

In a way, e-book is like a normal book. It is your story about how to make good money online, with your proven tips. Actually the e-books, which I have read do not include any real secrets. The e-book idea is normally a marketing idea, i.e. the way how an author express usual things in an encouraging way.

3. One E-Book Is Just One Step In The Long Process Of Brand Building.

The bigger authority the author is, the better chances he has to succeed with his e-book. Big names sell also in this market. But if you are a new writer, the e-book is a new first step in the process with which you will build your authority and respect. The next one will be easier, because the market is warm already.

4. The Title Of Your E-Book Determines The Success.

If you want to find how to make money on the internet, concentrate on the title. The title is the promise and it will express, what is unique in your e-book, how can it stand out from the crowd?

You see, the angle from which you write your e-book, must be unique, not the content itself. Do you see the difference? The good news is that we all have our own angles to the online market. So one good concept to the e-book is to utilize common, accepted tactics but to write the e-book from a unique angle.

5. Update The Content Regularly.

When you have published your e-book, you will get more and new tips as to the content. Your subconscious works day and night and will produce new ideas, which you can use for updating. You can add these things twice a year, for instance.

Writing e-books is not difficult and offers a great way to build the trust and to sell products, even to get residual income. Maybe the strongest benefit is however its ability to build an authority image to you, which will have a great value during a long period of time.
