You’d probably have to have lived in a cave for the last 11 years to never of heard of the Beckhams; they seem to fill our countries media daily. They feed a celebrity-obsessed nation with knowledge of what either Victoria Beckham is wearing or who David Beckham is considering playing for. Young girls want to be her, look like her and boys want to be able to play football like him.

It would seem that the Beckham brand shows no signs of slowing; the nation seems to obsessively watch this couple, envious of their celebrity lifestyle. We mere mortals could only dream of living as they do, jet setting all over, attending star-filled parties and having chauffeur car hire at their every call.

Victoria and David seem to do nothing but show to the world how successful they are, Victoria is always immaculately dressed, hair styled to perfection. She is not afraid to wear her wealth either, the ex-spice girl loves nothing more than to show off her latest Roberto Cavalli dress , Marc Jacobs bag and Manalo Blahnik shoes to the press. It is interesting that this Hertfordshire girl was given the apt nickname of Posh Spice in the Spice Girl’s as that is exactly how she lives her life now.

David Beckham too is also not shy of fashion to match his catwalk wife, famously known for having worn some interesting clothes including his wife’s underwear. On and off the pitch he is always perfectly tanned, plucked and showing off the latest hairstyle that will then be copied by millions. The couples recent move to Los Angele’s has also made them more famous, determined to not only conquer the UK they now socialise themselves with some of America’s most renowned couples and celebrities.

One thing that both the Beckham’s seem to do is travel, a lot of the time they are photographed at an airport, or in their luxurious chauffeur car hire being driven to any destination they desire. The couple seem to embrace their ability to travel when they wish and are often found in destinations all over the world, one day in LA and another in Madrid.

The UK’s press has not always been kind to the Beckham’s; in the past Victoria used to receive much criticism for her weight and was nastily nicknamed ’skeletal spice’. Also the couple had a turbulent time in 2004 when David Beckham was alleged to have had an affair. Yet despite the critics, the Beckham’s have managed to stay together in the face of adversity and create themselves a family and a business.

What is so likeable about this pair? It’s certainly not because most of us can relate to them as a couple, their life is truly that of A-list celebrities. Victoria has designed her own clothing range with massive designers and both have modelled for various well-known brands. It is rare to ever not see them stepping on to a red carpet or being in a flashy, expensive chauffer car hire. So why do we like them? Maybe it is because we see that through all the wealth and fashion that they seem to maintain so vigorously is that they are only human and are a couple with the same desire to have a family.

Being a Beckham for the day would be amazing I am sure, the celebrity treatment is something we would all like to experience. The chance to be pampered with nothing but the best products, driven round the best chauffeur car hire, dressed in the latest designers and with the choice of being anywhere in the world. We can all dream!
