Hannah Montana Has Parent Appeal Too

For the past few years my oldest daughter and my niece have been huge fans of Miley Cyrus’s projects. It all started with the Hannah Montana television show on the Disney channel. Then there was the Hannah Montana movie and the Hannah Montana Music. I am sure that I have seen everything Miley Cyrus has filmed and heard everything that she has recorded at least 50 times.

The show and movie are both interesting and from all that I have watched have good, clean plot lines. I like it the show a lot because it has interesting plot lines that teach some sort of lesson in the background more often than not. It is a good premise, Miley is secretly a pop sensation named Hannah Montana, but keeps it as a secret so she can be a normal teen.

The show and movie are both funny to watch, I even find myself interested in the plot when watching a new episode. The music is great because it is catchy and sounds grown up so that kids don’t feel like they are being treated like little kids when they are getting close to their teen years. My niece is eight and my daughter is six so they are at the perfect age for the whole Hannah Montana phase. It seems though that Miley Cyrus has no plans of try to “grow up” her image anytime soon and plans to cater to the “tween” crowd. Which I think is really great and the kids certainly enjoy.

The lyrics to the music are clean and of good quality, I do not object to listening to the CD with the kids in the car and it grows on you. I even find myself singing “Best of Both Worlds” myself as we drive around. The thing that really impresses me is that Miley has handled the rise to stardom so well - she is an excellent role model and I don’t mind my kids wanting to dress up like her. The clothes that she wears both on the show and in the movie are tasteful and the dress up clothes that are marketed under the Hannah Montana name are equally so.

When we bought iPods for the girls at Christmas Hannah Montana was the first thing that we were asked to load on them. I feel much better knowing that they prefer to listen to Hannah’s clean, up lifting lyrics than asking to listen to something that is not age appropriate. That is the top reason why I, as a parent, like Hannah Montana.

This newest Hannah Montana movie is set to be released in theaters on April 10, 2009. Will there be enough Hannah Montana movie tickets this time around? Get your Hannah Montana movie tickets now
