They should also be assisting you with any baggage that you might be carrying, if necessary. This is a very important service, especially if you are a business traveler that is alone with a considerable amount of luggage and work materials. Some companies will also provide their employees with limited training to equip them to assist those with special needs.

Basically, you should expect a safe and enjoyable ride. With so many other things to worry about when you are traveling, you shouldn’t have to be nervous about climbing into a cab. Usually, you will find that drivers are willing to go the extra mile to help you out, since part of their income depends on the tips they receive from their passengers. At the same time, you should also remember that the drivers are human beings and they should be treated with respect as well.
